About the event

Beloved Everybody is hosting a fun, ability-inclusive open mic!

Grab some lunch or drinks from the cafe and sign up for a slot at 12:30pm. We will begin the open mic right at 1pm.

Come get cheered on as you share any kind of talent, and grab a drink and some food and support Beloved Everybody and this awesome cafe that serves our community!

**Each slot will be a maximum of 5 minutes.**

Ideas for talents: -Sing a song and/or play a musical instrument -Read a poem(s) or other short piece -Bring a drawing/piece of art you did and show it and share about it -Do a dance -Tell a few jokes -Tell a short story -Any random thing! Twirl a pen, tongue twisters, move your eyebrows to the beat of some music, make animal sounds for people to guess, whistle a song...

You don't have to perform, but it would be great to fill as many slots as we can for celebrating each other and having fun together!

We're exploring new ways to create spaces where people with and without intellectual disabilities, and really people of all abilities and disabilities, can have fun together and form mutual, authentic friendships. And we'd love for you to be a part of making that happen!

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

*COVID protocols: We will be outside on the back patio, with space for some distancing. You are welcome to wear a mask as you would like.

*Accessibility: venue and stage area are wheelchair accessible, and there is an accessible, gender-inclusive restroom. Indoor tables and tables in front of the restaurant are there if anyone needs to take a break at any point.

*We will be taking pictures to use to promote this event in the future.

*Kids are welcome! Just keep in mind that some performers will be nervous, and it's a vulnerable thing to perform, so we want to make sure it's quiet enough for people to be heard and feel supported.
