About the event
We will watch the 2017 documentary Far from the Tree, based on the NY Times bestselling book by Andrew Solomon. This film examines the experiences of families in which parents and children are profoundly different from one another in a variety of ways. Then we will have a chance to share afterward about which parts of the movie felt like our experience, or which parts we connected to. It will give us a chance to think about family, belonging, and when we feel different and the same with other people.
